Endless Summer Tour

29 Oct - 6 Nov

Defying the end of summer, we will experience the most beautiful Sicily and its vastness of art, culture and nature, that will remain imprint in our memories forever. This island hardly needs an introduction, its people and heritage being the marvelous result of millennia of different civilizations who’ve been through it, and who have left artistic and cultural testimonies of enormous value. We will do a 360 degree loop around the island, riding from seaside towns seemingly emerging from the rocks, to beautifully restored old farmhouses up in the mountains, while passing old ruins, perfectly preserved temples, salt flats, national parks and of course mount Etna too, the highest live volcano in Europe. At night we will stay in traditional Masseria hotels, often sporting pools and always serving the most delicious local food and wine.

DAY 1 (29/10) 80 km: WELCOME TO PALERMO
Airport pickup (Palermo) - hotel check in - discover your chosen bike ready to go - trip briefing -
panoramic warm up ride - dinner and sleep in Palermo countryside.

DAY 2 (30/10) 190 km: ROUTE TO TRAPANI
Riding towards the west coast to the old fishing town Tonnara di Scopello,
through the luscious mountains and to the pristine Temple of Segesta,
then Trapani Salt Flats and Erice old town.

DAY 3 (31/10) 150 km: ROUTE TO AGRIGENTO
Riding by the Ruins of Poggioreale, stopping for a delicious food & wine tasting, visit to Sciacca, Scala dei Turchi,
optional stop at ancient site Valle dei Templi, overnight in Agrigento.

DAY 4 (01/11) 200 km: AGRIGENTO TO MODICA
Heading to the southern-east corner of the island to discover the spectacular ceramic town of Caltagirone,
then towards the incredible town of the Sicilian Baroque style, Modica, where we will be based for two nights.

Starting from the beautiful Modica (where it’s worth staying for at least two nights), we will go on a round trip discovery of the picturesque Sicilian baroque area and Unesco World Heritage: Scicli, Noto, Ragusa Ibla, and the unmissable fishing town of Marzamemi, where we will have the best seafood lunch of Europe.

DAY 6 (03/11) 220 km: MODICA TO ETNA
Crossing the Mount Iblei plateau populated by almond and olive trees, we will reach the majestic volcano Etna, and safely ride up to a beautiful viewing spot at 1900mt (6200ft). With any luck, it may be smoking or even erupting in front of our eyes, while we’ll enjoy a wine tasting dinner and spend the night at a beautiful hotel on the volcano.
DAY 7 (04/11) 220 km: ETNA TO CEFALU'

On Saturday we will head back inland and up into the mountains to then reach the northern coast, with a parade of beautiful old towns like Sperlinga and Gangi, where we will stop for the occasional coffee and cannolo. Crossing a national reserve, we will follow a good chunk of the beautiful Targa Florio route, the oldest timed (car) race in the world, before setting our helmets down in the splendid Cefalu.

DAY 8 (05/11) 180 km: CEFALU’ TO PALERMO
On the last day we will discover more unspoilt natural areas of this wonderful island, riding by the famous orange, olive and almond land of the ‘Conca d’Oro’ (golden valley), and finally reaching Monreale to view Palermo and its sea from the top, before descending to town for a celebratory final dinner party.
