A world motorcycle icon, the Scrambler Ducati 450 was born in 1969 as a trait-d’union between European and American tastes.

The American market was asking for a road bike suitable also for the dirt tracks of the boundless province and the elder sister of the family (which also includes the 250 and 350cc) today represents a real worship object.

Its slim and elegant line made school in the world and this bright yellow color with contrasting chrome on the tank entered the collective imagination, going well beyond the boundaries of pure enthusiasts; at sight everyone gives her an admiring glance.

The high handlebars and the weight contained in only 140Kg make agility the strong point of the bike; the position on the seat transfer an immediate feeling and the acceptable braking, combined with the effectiveness of the engine brake, lead us to tackle curve after curve with great fluency.

The limited power of the engine and the constant presence of vibrations certainly take a back seat, so much is the satisfaction and pleasure that it moves in riding; we just have to enjoy the view with a smile.

All of this is accompanied by the unmistakable sound of the short “salami slice” exhaust. Pedal starting requires a precise sequence of actions, but we’d be happy to prove how false his reputation as "kicking ankles" is, when the bike is well set upped and you kick firmly.

The gear lever to the right with the first up initially requires a certain concentration in getting used to the "new" automatisms, but our touristic pace will forgive us some uncertainty, without running any risk.
